Uses for Aldolph’s Meat Tenderizer
While Adolph’s Meat Tenderizer is specifically made to tenderize meat, it also happens to work wonderfully for some home remedies as well.
Other Uses of Adolph’s Meat Tenderizer:
Adolph’s Meat tenderizer is very good for stopping the itching of mosquito bites. Put one teaspoon of tenderizer in a bowl, on a plate or your hand and slowly add drops of water until you have a paste consistency. Use a cotton swab, cotton ball or clean finger and gently dab on mosquito bites. Let dry. Within minutes itching should be gone. you can then either brush off dried paste or wash gently with cloth.
Bee and Wasp Stings
This tenderizer has enzymes that can break down the proteins in bee venom. Be sure to remove the stinger as quickly as possible, then using the paste recipe above, apply to stung area. (If you have severe allergic reactions to bee or wasp stings however you should take normal emergency precautionary measures.)
Jelly Fish Stings
As in the case of Bee or Wasp Stings – meat tenderizer can also deactivate the venom protein in jellyfish stings. If there is a possibility of Jellyfish at your beach, bring this tenderizer along and make the same paste using salt water. Gently pat on stung areas.
The enzymes in Adolph’s Meat Tenderizer can also break down the proteins in urushiol oil (the oil in poison ivy that can trigger an allergic reaction). Mix together your handy paste of tenderizer and water and apply to affected areas. This can also help numb the skin to make you more comfortable.
You can also use this tenderizer/water paste to help ease the pain of a backache. Simply rub the paste in the painful back muscles just as you would a regular liniment.
Soothe Dry and Itchy Feet
You can also use this tenderizer paste to soothe dry or itchy feet. Again, make enough paste by adding water, then rub it into your feet to “tenderize” them.
